Lets also assume all the people that think the sun has a 1500 year cycle, and is currently in a phase of that cycle that would cause a lowering of land or sea-surface temperatures and changes in rainfall levels (as evidenced in the stalagmite research). Wouldn't man made global warming because of increases in greenhouse gas emmisions then be a good thing, in that it offsets the effect of a 'cool' sun cycle phase? If that doesn't affect the rainfall aspect of the cool sun phase, would that then explain why we have quite dramatically changing rainfall patterns.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/blockquote&gt;Bollocks, i know, but i thought i'd post it anyway. I then put 'spack' into google, clicked on the link to the top result, and read some of the strangest sentences I've ever found on one page.
