the sun, innit

I read this via prisonplanet....http://www.dailytech.com/Experimental+Link+Found+Between+Sun+and+Climate/article12804.htm

Then i read the original... http://news.research.ohiou.edu/news/index.php?item=503

Then i was thinking about the whole thing, and wrote this...
Lets assume all the people that think global warming is manmade are correct. Lets also assume all the people that think the sun has a 1500 year cycle, and is currently in a phase of that cycle that would cause a lowering of land or sea-surface temperatures and changes in rainfall levels (as evidenced in the stalagmite research). Wouldn't man made global warming because of increases in greenhouse gas emmisions then be a good thing, in that it offsets the effect of a 'cool' sun cycle phase? If that doesn't affect the rainfall aspect of the cool sun phase, would that then explain why we have quite dramatically changing rainfall patterns.
Bollocks, i know, but i thought i'd post it anyway. Is this what blogs are for?

what does spack mean?

http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=spack

'spackface' popped into my head when i was registering the blog, prefaced by many unsuccessful attempts at registering apparently obvious names. I then put 'spack' into google, clicked on the link to the top result, and read some of the strangest sentences I've ever found on one page. Definitions are submitted by members, and are worth a read if you want a laugh. :)
